Uplift…Inspire…Support

There are many things that I am thankful for. Most of all I am grateful to God for providing me with a wonderful job. However, I have dealt with some personality clashes that I had to cope with on some occasions. I began to develop a dislike towards this individual. I realized that this was not the right way to approach this situation. Despite it all, I try to encourage with words of inspiration. Till this day, I have not experienced any attitude.
Sometimes you just have to ignore and try to encourage others because you may not be sure what he or she is going through on the job or personally.

“No matter what storm you face, you need to know that God loves you. He has not abandoned you.” -Franklin Graham.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)

Sacrifice

“Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.” Napoleon Hill. This quote is self-explanatory. For us to get to where we want to be, we ought to sacrifice things in life. To wake up at 5:00 am to reach to work at 8:00 am to avoid the traffic is a sacrifice. Not saying that all sacrifices are easy, some have its struggles. Despite the tussle of deciding, always recognize that there is a greater outcome and God will not give you more than you can bear. We must be cautious in not letting the sacrifice take priority over our duty to the teachings of the Word. It is always best to pray and ask God for that knowledge and guidance you need. There is no greater sacrifice than Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.

“God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith” (Romans 3:25).”

Neglect=Failure

This morning at church, the word was received and the holy spirit spoke through a brethren saying “ I have instilled in YOU a gifting to go minister to others but YOU are not utilizing it.” This truly hit home. I remembered God told me I have placed many of my gifting’s within you, use it to share the gospel. This said gifting is writing as I mentioned before in one of my blogs. However, I got so tied up in life’s activities and began to neglect this gift from God. Neglect is so close to failure to me. I would never want to neglect what has implanted in me because of my hectic schedule. Folks often sometimes say God understands what we do on a regular base and He knows how hard we work to meet where we are. Even in our busy schedule, we should put aside a time to communicate with God because it’s He that is giving us this enduring strength to be able to live through the day. In God’s mind, we are not successful if we abandon what he has called us to do. What would happen when we constantly give up on something when we see we aren’t giving it our full attention? My mom would say finish what you’ve started, though it may seem difficult in the beginning, the end result will be worth it. Distractions may arise but we have to press through. God understands that what we start may not be always easy. Whether it be business, marriage, job hunting, friendship, family or even God’s gifting’s, let’s keep pressing on to the finish line.

2 Timothy 4:7 ” I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

God’s got you!

Sometimes I say to myself, is life really all that it seems? Am I really fulfilling my God-given purpose? Am I ought to be at this current stage in my life? These are some serious questions I ponder on. Life is becoming so short on earth and sometimes we get sidetracked by the earthly things. God provided these things for us to enjoy but not to idolize. He gave us the knowledge and understanding to enhance on his creations. We shouldn’t neglect our time here on earth, make an impact to encourage others. Aim to achieve more than what you think is impossible. Ignore all negative comments from individuals and surround yourself with positive people that are there to cheer you on. I will always say this, most of all have God at the center of your life. Things take time to obtain but God has his perfect timing. Be wise in our decisions in life, weigh the pros and cons. Continue to keep the faith and trust in the Almighty Father. Tomorrow is never promised, no need to worry because God’s got you. Life is a journey, embrace it, enjoy it, keep Christ in it.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

Don’t Abuse Time!

“Time is money.” Benjamin Franklin quoted this advice towards a young tradesman. We constantly quote this in our lives but do we really understand the meaning? Time is a valuable resource that we definitely cannot get back.  Therefore, we ought not to abuse it but use it wisely.  We tend to focus on the money aspect and become sidetracked.  How are we going to gain wealth when we do not plan our time carefully? In order for us to achieve, we need to prioritize, stay focus on what we need to accomplish within the day. We recognize that time is getting shorter by the days or I should say by the hours and minutes. The night is coming quickly when no one can work (John 9:4).  This is the obvious truth.  However, in order for us to execute what we intend to do daily, we MUST put it to God in prayer.  Prayer is essential for our daily development.  You would be surprised to see how you will be able to face challenges in your day.  I recognize that having God at the center of my life allows me to achieve any task during the day and within every aspect of my life.  With this, it helps me to plan my time.  So today, I encourage you not to take time lightly. Plan, execute but most of all put it towards God in pray before you start your day.  Use the time we have!

Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts, human plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”

Tapping into the inevitable…too far-fetched?

Most of us tend to stay in the present state rather than going beyond what we have achieved thus far. Because we are so satisfied with what we have accomplished, we become relaxed. We need to be persistent in exploiting our full potential after we have executed a task; if we don’t consistently exploit our potential we would lose what is really within us. With all that being said, we must put God first in all that we intend to do. Tom Monaghan is a prime example of doing so. He was the founder of Domino’s Pizza in 1960 and later sold his company. In doing so, he spent his time, skills and money contributing to the Roman Catholic and developed the Ave Maria University. Let us all continuously unlock our gifts, talents, and abilities. Nothing is impossible with God. Tap into the inevitable!

Genesis 11:6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.”

Moving Ahead

“The past doesn’t determine your future.” That quote has been with me for many years. However, I believe that your past guides you to the CORRECT path where God wants you to be. For instance, I thought I knew what love was in my younger days but little did I know. As I became older and wiser, I recognized that God is love; he loves us unconditionally. We as human beings love conditional; we base love on our feelings which can eventually change. The closest unconditional love that we have is towards our children. In understanding all that God has done for us, helped me through life’s love and the crossroads. This steered me towards a wonderful man of God with whom I can express my love for God with. God does not choose a partner for us, he guides us towards that person.

1John 4:19 “We love because he first loved us.”
